There is one "area" club and one specialist club that are affiliated to the WARCI. These clubs are run by their own committees and are completely autonomous in their decisions and management. These clubs are: - The Hills Rabbit Club. This club services the Hills area of Perth and holds monthly shows.
- The Specialist Rabbit Club of WA.This is a relatively small club that has been merged into the WARCI Committee as it was struggling for members. However it holds shows for different breeds every second month. They particularly encourage the keeping and breeding of rabbit breeds that are in danger of being lost to the WA Rabbit Fancy.
Anyone may join any or all of these clubs and may show at their shows. Non-members may be required to pay slightly more show entry fees and will not be eligible for the trophies or the perpetual point system. If a club holds a closed show then only members of that club may enter.
Each of these clubs send out regular newsletters which inform their members of coming events and contain interesting and instructive articles.
Apart from the usual monthly shows run by the clubs, in the later half of the year there are several agricultural shows that people can attend. |
