Akita Inu Club provides many areas of interest including :

• promoting and encouraging the breeding of pure bred Akitas
• raising the standards and exhibition of registered pure bred Akitas
• foster, promote and protect and interest of Akitas
• to collect, verify and publish correct information
• to promote good fellowship and sportsmanship amongst members
• to hold functions and lectures relating to the Akita

The Akita Inu Club of Victoria's meetings are held Bi-monthly, on the third Thursday of that month, rotating between two venues : Royal Melbourne Show Grounds and KCC Park.

Meetings generally start around 7.30 pm with a coffee break in the middle and tea, coffee and biscuits at the completion of the meeting.
