The search is on for the fastest dog in town - Is your pooch up to the pace?

It's time to get your dog into training as we edge closer to the biggest event on the canine calendar - Ku-ring-gai Dogs' Day.

Every dog wins a prize with special awards going to the fastest, slowest, best dressed and best painted dogs.

Owners are asked to keep their dogs on a lead and pick up after their animals.
